While best known for their lavish editions of weird fiction authors, Centipede Press has also been honoring the pioneers of science fiction with their Masters of Science Fiction series. These gorgeous volumes collect the seminal works of the genre's most influential writers.

The contents feature the short stories and prose from each author, with many works appearing in hardcover for the first time using newly re-edited and authoritative texts. Extensive story notes, drafts, and literary writings are also included to give insight into the writers' creative processes.

So far volumes have been released for the likes of Frtiz Leiber, James Patrick Kelly, Jack Dann, and Richard Wilson, with future editions planned for Alfred Bester, Fredric Brown and Pamela Sargent among others.
